-the City of Sydney is seeking advice from foreign affairs

Spokesman of the Embracing Australian Values Alliance (EAVA), John Hugh said that the leading members of the EAVA held a talk with Ms. Monica Barone, CEO of the City of Sydney today on the topic of leasing Town Hall to the International Cultural Exchange Association of Australia (ICEAA) for a concert praising Mao Tse-tung, the worst mass murderer in the human history.

Ms. Barone said the City of Sydney need “seek advice from foreign affairs” (the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade) for reviewing the lease decision.

“The Maoist Concert has triggered the trauma of many Chinese victims of Mao’s revolution. Now the Chinese community are splitting deeper because of the concert planned by a few people with untold purposes and has aroused unnecessary hatred in the community. By leasing the government-owned property to the concert organizer, the City of Sydney played an inappropriate role of damaging the harmony in the community.”

“Preaching Maoism is to abuse the multicultural policy and is damaging the Australian fundamental values. We are defending those precious values for which we are loyal to Australia and her people.” Said John Hugh. He is a former Councilor of the Parramatta City.

The EAVA demands an immediate cancellation of the relevant improper lease.
